This Warranty Policy explains what is covered, what is not covered, and how WARMCO supports you if your heated garment or supplied battery develops a fault. WARMCO complies with the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA), which ensures products must be safe, durable, and fit for purpose.
1. Warranty Coverage — Heated Garments
All WARMCO heated garments include a 12‑month warranty covering manufacturing defects, including:

Faulty heating elements

Faulty wiring or connectors

Faulty switches or buttons

Material defects

Stitching or structural defects
If your item is confirmed faulty, WARMCO will:

Repair the item, or

Replace the item, or
-
Refund the item if repair or replacement is not reasonable
This remedy is determined in line with the CGA.
2. Warranty Coverage — Power Banks Supplied by WARMCO
WARMCO supplies certified 5V power banks sourced from overseas manufacturers.
Power banks include a 6‑month warranty covering:

Failure to charge

Failure to power the garment
-
Internal battery defects
-
Manufacturing faults
If the power bank is confirmed faulty, WARMCO will:

Replace the power bank, or
-
Refund the power bank value
Power banks are considered accessories, and warranty remedies apply only to the power bank itself.
3. What Is Not Covered (Garments & Power Banks)
The warranty does not cover faults caused by misuse, including:

Use of non‑WARMCO power banks

Use of high‑voltage or fast‑charging power banks
-
Damage from incorrect washing (e.g., washing with the power bank connected)
-
Water damage
-
Damage from stretching, tearing, or force
-
Damage caused by pets
-
Damage caused by external heat sources
-
Damage from modifications or tampering
-
Normal wear and tear
-
Cosmetic issues that do not affect function
-
Damage caused by commercial or industrial use
If misuse is identified during inspection, the warranty claim will be declined.
4. Safety Requirements for Supplied Batteries
To ensure safe operation, WARMCO power banks must be used:

Only with WARMCO heated garments

Only as instructed
-
In undamaged condition
-
Without exposure to moisture, crushing, or extreme heat
Using third‑party chargers or fast‑charging bricks may shorten battery life and is not covered under warranty.
5. Inspection Process
All warranty claims undergo a standard inspection, which may include:

Heating element testing

Wiring continuity testing

Switch/button function testing

Connector integrity check

Battery output testing
-
Visual inspection for misuse or damage
If the product is confirmed faulty, your claim will be approved. If misuse is found, the claim will be declined and the item returned.
6. Warranty Timeframes

Valid from the date of delivery

Applies only to the original purchaser

7. Returns for Warranty Claims
If your item is approved as faulty:
